Born in Montreal, Canada and raised between Canada and Lebanon, Rachel Meguerdijian presents Link St. With human migration at its peak in the 21st century, a Middle Eastern girl faces culture shock. The personal disorientation she experiences in the new social environment is nothing but exhausting. She is trying to find comfort in a city where she feels she doesn't belong.

After completing her undergraduate studies in Lebanon, Rachel worked on several TV commercials for clients in different countries of the region. Then, she went further into the purpose of her career in filmmaking by enrolling at New York Film Academy to obtain her Master's Degree and specialize in Directing. Till date, she continuously present her perspective on ideas through the art of filmmaking.

Tanya was written following a three hour presentation of photographs, video and wire taps of real human trafficking cases held at LAPD Headquarters. Lt. Andre Dawson (former head of the LAPD Anti-Trafficking Unit and former member of the FBI Innocence Lost Task Force) gave the presentation and is a lead consultant with Hidden Tears Project. An anonymous survivor in Chicago helped shape the script and was on set during filming. She played an active role in the film and advised the writer, director, producers and actors.
