Hamnet is a film based on the novel by Maggie O'Farrell and dramatises the family life of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Hathaway as they cope with the death of their 11-year-old son.

Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal star alongside Emily Watson, Joe Alwyn, and Jacobi Jupe. Hamnet had its world premiere at the 52nd Telluride Film Festival.

This IFS Film Society membership only event is part of a day of press events, live table readings of new screenplays and private membership-only screenings for IFS membership, festival volunteers and staff who participated in the judging of this season's festival selections and/or assisted in staffing or support for this year’s IFS / L.A. Film Festival.
